Go Capital, a private equity and venture capital firm based near Rennes in western France, is launching a new investment fund focused on the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region.
The move, announced June 24, 2026, adds a new vehicle—InvESS’t NA—to Go Capital’s lineup. The firm, founded in 2003 and led by Aude-Claire Kermarrec (Dewailly), Bertrand Distinguin and Jérôme Gueret, is targeting entrepreneurs in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, one of France’s largest regions, where tech and industrial players have been seeking more structured private capital.
Go Capital has been active since 2003 and operates with a 12-person team, according to official French registry data from INSEE and INPI.
Go Capital expands its regional footprint into southwest France
Go Capital was founded in February 2003 and is headquartered at Hall A Cap Courrouze in Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande, in the Ille-et-Vilaine department of Brittany. The company is organized as a simplified joint-stock company that manages investment portfolios, with a focus on venture capital and growth equity for French small and mid-sized businesses.
With InvESS’t NA, the firm is extending its geographic reach toward France’s southwest. Nouvelle-Aquitaine includes industries such as aerospace, digital technology, renewable energy and food and agriculture—sectors that often align with the mandate of regionally focused funds.
The legal creation of the investment vehicle was confirmed through a notice published in Les Échos Judiciaires Girondins, a reference outlet for legal announcements in Gironde, a department that includes Bordeaux.
A regional fund launch amid ongoing pressure on SME financing
InvESS’t NA arrives as startups and small and mid-sized companies outside the Paris region (Île-de-France) continue to face challenges raising larger funding rounds. In France, regional funds—sometimes labeled or built with local governments—have sought to narrow that gap by pairing local focus with experienced managers and institutional investor networks.
Go Capital has not detailed key terms for InvESS’t NA so far, including the fund’s target size, expected check sizes or priority sectors, based on the information available at this stage. The legal notice in Les Échos Judiciaires Girondins does, however, indicate that the vehicle has been formally established—an early step before fundraising.
According to official INSEE/INPI registry information, Go Capital is run by three managing directors: Aude-Claire Kermarrec (Dewailly), Bertrand Distinguin and Jérôme Gueret.
