France’s Centre-Val de Loire regional government is rolling out a new identity push aimed at strengthening residents’ sense of belonging in a part of the country often seen as a pass-through between Paris and the South.

One on-the-ground snapshot of the region’s service economy: A2Micile Région Centre, the entity operating under the Domaliance brand in Centre-Val de Loire, employs 42 people, according to official data from France’s INSEE statistics agency and the INPI intellectual property office.

Created on February 25, 2013, the company remains active, with Vincent Chaulet listed as general manager and Sébastien Springer as alternate statutory auditor. Its headquarters are in Strasbourg, at 9 allée Cérès.

Domaliance has operated in Centre-Val de Loire since 2013

Home-based personal services are among the few sectors that tend to hold up across economic cycles, driven by demographic aging, efforts to keep older adults living at home, and child care needs. Domaliance has been positioned in that market in Centre-Val de Loire for more than a decade.

With 42 employees, the operation remains small—far from the high-growth playbooks seen in other parts of the service economy.

The entity’s legal structure (code 5710, corresponding to a single-shareholder simplified joint-stock company) and its Strasbourg-based headquarters contrast with its day-to-day positioning in Centre-Val de Loire. The setup is common in this sector for franchise or brand-licensing networks.

Regional belonging is also an economic issue for employers

The regional identity campaign is not just symbolic. For businesses operating in the area, recognition of a coherent “living area” can directly affect hiring, employee retention, and relationships with local elected officials. A region that asserts itself to its residents can also become a clearer environment for economic players.

For Domaliance Centre-Val de Loire, the stakes are practical: attracting and keeping in-home care workers in rural or semi-urban areas depends on whether those professionals identify with a place to live—not only with an employer. The sense of belonging the region is trying to cultivate can be a resource for organizations like this, not just a backdrop.
