Herige Industries targets BHR ready-mix concrete plants in western France, expanding in Loire-Atlantique

Date:

Herige Industries, a construction materials group based in France’s Vendée department, says it is seeking to buy BHR’s ready-mix concrete operations in neighboring Loire-Atlantique—a move that would deepen Herige’s footprint in the Pays de la Loire region.

The company announced the planned acquisition of BHR’s ready-mix concrete business as BHR itself is in the process of being taken over in Loire-Atlantique, according to reporting by Agence APi published June 15 and 16, 2026.

The deal fits a broader push to tighten Herige’s regional coverage in western France, where BHR operates production units supplying ready-mix concrete.

Herige moves for BHR’s concrete assets as BHR changes hands

BHR is “in the process of being taken over,” creating an opening for partial asset sales. In that context, Herige has positioned itself to acquire the ready-mix concrete segment—an activity where logistics and proximity to job sites are central.

Ready-mix concrete comes with a straightforward constraint: delivery windows are short after production, making plant location a decisive factor. Taking over BHR’s sites in Loire-Atlantique would allow Herige to supply construction projects in the department without having to build new infrastructure.

Strengthening Herige’s base in the Pays de la Loire

For Herige Industries, the proposed purchase extends a strategy of building a dense territorial network across western France. The Vendée-based group would strengthen its position in a market where competition among local and national concrete players remains tight.

Financial terms and a closing timeline have not been made public. For now, the acquisition remains a stated plan, subject to the usual consultation and approval processes.
